Supporting Rep. Summer Lee for Reelection

We are excited to announce that Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh is supporting Rep. Summer Lee in her PA-12 primary on April 23rd.

Rep. Lee has been a consistent champion for our domestic priorities, including fighting all forms of bigotry in our country. It’s why we endorsed her in 2022 and why we are endorsing and supporting her now.

Join us for a canvass to help Rep. Summer Lee win her primary election:

➡️ This Sunday, April 7th, in Squirrel Hill

➡️ Next Sunday, April 14th, location TBD (save the date!)

*We'll also have phonebanking opportunities coming up! Reply to this email, and we'll let you know when they're scheduled, and keep an eye on your inbox this month.*

Our decision to support Rep. Lee followed a process of small and large group discussions about antisemitism and the war in Israel/Palestine, as well as a meeting with her to discuss these concerns. A majority of leaders and members voted to partner with the campaign to re-elect Rep. Lee.

Like with any family, our chapter and the wider Jewish community in Pittsburgh have many different priorities, but we remain committed to achieving community safety and Black liberation. These are the same values that guide our chapter’s work, including our most recent victory to elect Sara Innamorato as Allegheny County Executive.

Many of us have known and worked closely alongside Rep. Lee since 2018 — we know that she shows up, answers our calls, and listens to our needs. She is willing to be at the table, have difficult conversations, and stay in the relationships we need to build a progressive Pittsburgh.

Our Bend the Arc chapter is committed to making our city, state, and country more equitable and just, and Rep. Lee is a champion of the vision and policies that we have been fighting for.

Let’s help Rep. Summer Lee win her primary election! Sign up for a volunteer shift:

In solidarity,

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh
