Description
We’ve all had a little rest since November 2020, and now it’s time to get back out there. On the agenda is a discussion of ways to support BIPOC-led organizations involved in the PA Senate race. This is a critical seat, and we have a valuable opportunity to replace departing Republican Pat Toomey with Democrat and current Lt. Gov. John Fetterman.
We’ll also be talking about the gift ban campaign led by March on Harrisburg–the goal is to cut down on political corruption in our state legislature by prohibiting public officials and employees and their close family members from accepting gifts valued at over $10 annually from anyone who is not a relative. Until we get corporate money out of the state house, our elected representatives will continue to put profits before people.
