Let People Vote: An evening of learning and action to improve voting access

RSVP

Description

Join Bend the Arc Pittsburgh, Repair the World Pittsburgh, the Black Political Empowerment Project, the ACLU of PA, and the JCC's Center for Loving Kindness and Civic Engagement for an evening of learning and taking action to improve voter access.

Jason Kander, President and founder of the organization Let America Vote, will video-call in to speak about how extreme voter suppression laws are disproportionately disenfranchising Americans based on their race or ethnicity, gender, age, or income. Then local organizations will provide action steps for improving voting access here in Pittsburgh.

Afterwards, from 7-9 pm, there will be a Candidate Forum featuring candidates running for District 8 City Council Special Election.
