Help Canvass for the 2020 Census. We Will Be Counted!

RSVP

Description

The U.S. Constitution requires a count of all people living in the United States, regardless of citizenship or legal status, to apportion seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and ensure municipalities get their share of more than $883 billion in federal funds.

Pennsylvania has much to lose if the 2020 census is not fair and accurate. Our commonwealth current receives more than $39.2 billion annually through census-backed programs, meaning an undercount could cost our state hundreds of millions of dollars annually and affect our congressional standing.

But you can help get out the count! Join us on Sunday, March 15, starting at 12pm, to knock on doors in Pittsburgh letting people know how important it is to get counted. Every additional person to get counted can add thousands of dollars in funding to their neighborhood.

You can come any time between 12-5pm—plan on spending about an hour canvassing. Exact meeting location details will be provided to all those who RSVP.
